Who am I ?
... and who would do sth. like this just for fun? Ok, this is me! just a nice foto to let you know who's behind all this. I'm working in computer science and since almost seven years now, I love to sew in my not-existing sparse free time. :)
The Idea
The idea for this website has come up in 2006, has then taken some moth you research and trial & error testing and has then com to live in fall 2007. The concept behind is very simple... every clothing pattern is constrcted by some geometric algorithms, telling you to draw a line here and to add a dart there. So it wasn't that far away from putting all this into software. And this is how it ended up. It is still very simple and I'm sure you will find more elaboratefd programms, but they are usually expensive and not so easy to access that they would makr sense for hobby users, sewing just for fun... so this is the niche I'm fitting in. :o)
What's next?
Hmmm... good question. I still have so many ideas I want to do and so few time to realize them. To have an english version of this is definitly a great point. The rest could be something like...
- More patterns! I'm continously working on this, but there are always some ideas left to realize. A thight fitting victorian style corset would be realy great.
- More variations. There are still so many design potions I'haven't yet realized. :)
- A better preview would be cool!
And the rest?
The rest is all about trying it out. The side is made for al creativ crasy people out there! So have fun with it and let me know about your creations! Would be great to hear from you!
